EQUIPMENT SET UP AND PACK AWAY
Help is needed before the 5.15pm class to help put out the equipment and then again in the last class for the evening to put it away. If you can spare 10 minutes at either class your help would be appreciated.
SAFETY AT THE GYM
For safety reasons please do not allow your gymnast onto the gymnastic equipment or onto the floor until the whistle has gone for their class. Siblings of gymnasts must also stay off the equipment and the floor at all times.
CALENDAR DATES
HOWICK COMPETITION - 14th September
This is a Club run event, and we require all the support from parents that we can get to make it a success. The competition attracts around 300 competitors from around Auckland.
Sponsorship is required to help with the financial commitment of running a competition of this nature. If anyone can help with this or you know of someone that can, please let us know.
A gold coin donation jar is on the desk at gym, this is to help cover some of the cost involved with the goodie bags, which all gymnasts entered will receive, so please support our gymnasts.
Alternatively items for the goodie bags are also needed, pencils, rubbers, hair ties, stickers, wrapped lollies etc, or items suitable for a raffle. If you can bring some of these into gym it would be greatly appreciated.
A job list is on the desk at gym, so if you can help out at the competition on the day whether it be on the door, in the canteen, computer room, or any other odd jobs please put your name down and we will contact you with details of times available etc. Gymnasts will also be asked to bring a plate of food to sell in the canteen on the day. This can be cakes, biscuits, snacks etc.
WAITAKERE COMPETITION - 20th September
There is very limited parking outside the gym and the school has asked again that gymnast's parents park out in the front car park or on the road and walk down.

Prizegiving will be held at the gym at 5.00pm. All gymnasts are asked to bring a plate of food to share at the party after the awards and displays. Orange drink will be supplied.

Long pants and baggy clothing is not suitable to wear for prizegiving. All gymnasts are asked to bring a plate of food to share at the party after the awards and displays. Orange drink will be supplied. Christmas raffle at the door, please support the club.
REMINDER GOLD COIN DONATION FOR GOODIE BAGS
To finish off the goodie bags, your gold coin contribution is required. If you have not done so already please place gold coins in the donation box.

SAUSAGE SIZZLE - 7th MARCH
Pakuranga Placemakers - from 10.00am
This is the first fundraiser for the year, please bring items that we can use for the barbecue into gym over the next week eg: onions, tomato sauce, paper towels, small packets chips, twistes, etc.
Come along on the day and help support the club.
